Why Aliénor

Like all of us I’ve had ups and downs through life, being laid low by poor health choices and stress. While this was sustainable in my 20’s as I got older I realised that there had to be a different way.

It was only when I really started taking care of my own wellbeing that I was able to bounce back and keep being there for my kids, at work, and able to chase my own dreams.

Then, during a chat with my friends over dinner, it hit me: We all “know” what we should do, but a lot of us have a hard time actually doing it.

This realisation led to my retraining and the creation of Aliénor.

How I work with you

The human body comprises complex integrated systems, such as the interconnection of hormonal and metabolic pathways; the linkage between the gastrointestinal tract and enteric nervous system (ENS),(part of the autonomic nervous system (ANS); and the pivotal role of the nervous and immune systems in managing stress response and recovery. Additionally, sleep serves as a master metabolic regulator, exerting influence over both recovery and metabolism. If one element is out of balance, it disrupts the harmony of the entire system.

I work with you to explore and uncover your deep health; a whole person, whole life approach to living a sustainably healthy life.

Together, we’ll work as a team in coaching, breaking down your goals into skills, practices, and small daily actions that you can easily manage. Remember, it’s taking action that truly brings about change!

My background

As a young person, I discovered climbing and mountaineering, and ever since I’ve been totally hooked on the mix of mental and physical skills needed to conquer a goal.

I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University back in 1993 and then jumped into the world of Commercial Leadership and Change Management. I’ve had the chance to work across the globe, coaching senior managers and business leaders, and making big moves to boost individual and business performance.

After spending years in the corporate world, from big companies to startups, I’ve got a good grasp of the fast-paced, high-pressure environments you deal with.

I’ve been there, dealing with stress, poor food choices, low energy, terrible sleep, and always feeling like I never have enough time for myself.

Being goal-oriented, I get how tough it is to relax and always feeling like you’re on the edge. I know this balance can’t last long; it just takes one more thing to push us over the edge.

As a dad of three and a husband I totally get the extra demands on your time and energy; and the inevitable question “how on earth do I find time for myself“.

I decided to switch things up and dive into a whole new career path focused on Nutrition, Stress, Sleep, and Recovery coaching. These are the building blocks of a healthy lifestyle, impacting how we perform and handle things at home, work, and even in sports.
