How will I connect with my coach?
You’ll use our coaching app to schedule video sessions and send direct messages to your coach. The client app is supported on desktop, Android and iOS devices.
When will my coach respond to direct messages?
Your coach will respond to direct messages within 48 hours.
Do I need any fitness equipment or supplies?
No, you don’t need any special equipment to get started. You and your coach will create a plan that supports any equipment you currently have available.
Does the programme include meal plans?
The short answer is no, but let’s explore why…
Meal plans are restrictive, explicit prescriptions; unfortunately, when we try to follow rigid prescriptions like this, lots can (and often does) go wrong:
- Meal plans are tough to follow, life gets in the way and you may find yourself rebelling against it; you feel deprived so you grab, a cake, chocolate bar, burger, etc; or you choose to ignore what the meal plan says and eat what everyone else round the table is having so you’re not the odd one out or having to prepare multiple meals
- Most meal plans are meant to be temporary. Our bodies can usually adapt to a rigid way of eating for a short period of time. But if you’re too strict for too long, you could wind up with disordered eating habits and lasting health (mental, metabolic, hormonal, etc) consequences.
- Eventually, you get so turned off by the process that you regress or quit altogether.
- Who wants to stop eating the things they enjoy?!
- If you make it to the end of the prescribed period of the meal plan, what then? Likelihood is that you’ll revert to previous habits and/or have a blow out to celebrate the end of the plan. It’s no wonder most people put back on what they lost, with 40% adding back even more weight!
We focus on the behaviours associated with eating and your relationship with food. To look at what you’re already eating and find ways you could make it a little bit better.
We don’t moralise food, as many meal plans and diets do when they describe it as good or bad, clean or dirty. You’ll learn about a spectrum of food quality and start to identify small changes and improvements you can make to go one step at a time. Those improvements add up and over time you also change your habits significantly reducing the risk of reverting at the end of our programme
How often will I be billed
We will charge you the initial plan amount at the start of the programme. Once your initial plan ends, you plan will renew at the same price for the time duration you signed up for. Your charges will go through automatically until you decide to cancel.
